Status of Writ Petition

Dear Friends

This is regarding the status of the Writ Petition filed by NBOA in the Hon'ble Bombay High Court which says that the case has been disposed off. In this regard, we bring the following to the notice of our members:-

• The computer generated date given for final hearing of the petition was 03 December 2013 and the case had gone to the bench of Justice V M Kanade.  
• However, actual hearing did not take place and a special mention was made by our lawyer Mr Sandeep Marne before Justice F J Vazifdar (in whose bench the case was earlier heard) with a request to complete the hearing by the old bench (the other judge being Justice M S Sonak) at the earliest and before the vacation starts.
• As per the rules, both the judges of the old bench - Justice F J Vazifdar and Justice M S Sonak - have to give their consent and the judge of the new bench - Justice V M Kanade - have to give his No Objection which has been completed on 03 December 2013.
• Justice F J Vazifdar will have to give a new date now. Since our senior counsel Mr Shyam Mehta is not available at the moment, Justice Vazifdar has been requested by our lawyer Mr Marne to give a date after 07 December 2013 (the date from which our senior counsel will be available).
