Hon’ble Governor
Reserve Bank of India
Central Office

Respected Sir,
                              NABARD Foundation day Celebrations

Kindly refer to our earlier communication dated 09/07/2012 on the captioned issue seeking your kind intervention on the industrial issues prevailing in NABARD and our decision not to participate in the Foundation Day Celebrations on 12/07/2012.

Consequent to this, our Chairman and EDs have invited the Joint Coordination Committee to discuss the issues flagged by us on 10/07/2012.

The meeting was held in a cordial atmosphere, though on many critical issues we could not agree with the Management perception including on issues where the Management wanted to go back upon their explicit promises made in earlier rounds of discussions including on 23-24 January 2012. This was patently unjust, you may kindly agree with us. This, you may agree, has seeds of damaged credibility that may accentuate problems in future if not rectified immediately. However, as there were promises given by no less a personality than the Hon’ble Chairman, NABARD at the table on various issues raised collectively by us including on cancellation of recruitment in clerical cadres even after taking exam, compassionate appointments, immense harassment faced by staff members of NABARD arising out of HRMS package, unjust actions against officers and staff, problems arising out of BCG recommendations to dilute the mandate of NABARD, updation of pension including extending another option, facilities for canteen, holiday homes etc., we deem it fit to repose our faith on the assurances given by the Chairman on behalf of the Management for the time being.

As such we have decided to participate and be part be of all celebrations pertaining to our Organisation, NABARD, with the avid hope that at least this time the promises will not be belied in the best interest of NABARD and rural credit of this country.

We also eagerly look forward to your extending active help to NABARD from RBI and Govt. of India, both financial in the form of restoration of NRC and GLC funds, and advisory considering the institutional sagacity the RBI is famous of.

We Welcome you as our Guest of Honor on 12/07/2012 and are eagerly waiting to seek your guidance and words of wisdom for NABARD to follow on our 30th Foundation day.

Thanking you

With Kind Regards

Yours Sincerely,

(V.K.Bhosle)                                                            (DrDSChauhan)                                                           General Secretary                                                      General Secretary
