Dear Secretary

Discussions with Bank on Charter of Demands

In continuation to our submission of  Charter of Demands (Effective 01/11/2012 to 31/10/2017) and subsequent letter to the bank requesting settlement of Charter at par with that been settled and implemented in RBI , the first round of Discussions were held between Bank and AINBOA today at HO , Mumbai.

Sri Amlorapavanathan , DMD and Sri H. R. Dave , DMD led the negotiations team from the Banks’ side comprising of Sri M.K.Mudgal , CGM(HRMD)  , Sri S. Selvaraj , CGM , Sri A.K.Sahoo , CGM , GMs , DGMs and officers from   HRMD and PPD. The AINBOA team comprised of the President , VPs , GS , OS , ZS(C) and Secretary Patna Unit. The discussions were held in a very cordial atmosphere. Both the DMDs complimented the Officers and staff of NABARD for their sincerity and sense of purpose which has led to NABARD achieving newer heights  and making NABARD a financially strong DFI. It was also emphasised by them that we should not rest on the laurels and should strive to increase our efficiency and productivity further. They also indicated that it would be in fitness of things if the settlement is reached quickly.

President of the Association , initiating the discussion , emphasised the need and justification for settlement of the charter at par with that in RBI and requested the bank to hasten the process. General Secretary , AINBOA , thereafter requested the bank to adopt that  technology only which should be user friendly and increase the efficiency of the organisation alongwith the ease of operations. He also requested the bank to strengthen the systems and procedures so that the officers can carry out their duties fearlessly without being exposed to professional risks , specially on account of increased business related interaction with NGOs , CBOs etc.. Thereafter the GS made a presentation on the justification and financial sustainability of the revised Pay & Allowances. The points made by the Association were well received by the house. It was agreed upon by the Association that officers community , as hitherto , will sincerely and efficiently contribute to the development and strengthening of NABARD-both financially as well as a Development oriented organisation. Bank also agreed to provide conducive atmosphere alongwith the motivational factors to its officers so as to achieve the corporate goals. A few of the issues have been flagged by bank as also the Association , which require further deliberations and as such it was decided that bank will have further discussions with the Associations on the issue and the meeting will be convened shortly.

The issue of settlement of Charter of Demands is moving in a right and favourable direction. We request the membership to have patience and neither believe nor involve themselves in any uncalled for discussions/rumours etc. as it may prove counterproductive We will keep the membership apprised on the issue from time to time.

With Fraternal Greetings

Yours Sincerely ,

(Dr. D.S. Chauhan)
General Secretary
