Annual Transfers 2013: Victimisation of NBOA
Office-Bearers
Please
refer to new transfer policy vide Circular no. NB/HRMD/PA/5298/ST-51/12-13
dated 19/03/2013 according to which the annual transfers 2013 have been
affected to. In this connection we note with great anguish that the bank has
chosen to use the annual transfer exercise as a tool to victimize and punish
the office-bearers of NBOA. We have noted that in almost all the cases the
office-bearers of NBOA have not been given even the fourth choice of postings
and in a particular case the officer bearer concerned have been transferred out
even though he has not completed the normal length of stay at the concerned
centre.
This
trend of victimizing and putting the office-bearers of association to
hardship was also observed during the Annual Transfers 2012 , but we decided to
give a benefit of doubt to the management and desisted from registering our
formal protest. However going by this year’s trend too, we are very sure that
it is not an aberration but a designed move to harass and victimize the
office-bearers and weaken the Association. If need be we can prove our point of
view with hard data and facts.
Needless
to say that that such steps on part of the bank will lead to deterioration of
Industrial Harmony and we therefore urge upon that such discriminatory
transfers be cancelled forthwith.
