Various News Items in respect of NABARD
You may be aware that in the past 8-10 months a number of disturbing news items pertaining to NABARD have been published by various Newspapers/ dailies. NBOA too has noted these news items with anguish and concern as these publications have sullied the impeccable image of our organisation, which we have together built over the years. We expected that the top management will give adequate rejoinders to these Newspapers/ dailies so as to set the record straight and the management will, with the resources at its command, ensure that the image of the organisation is not allowed to be sullied and the damage done is repaired. However, the bank has continued to maintain a silence on all these issues for reasons known to it. Initially we also thought that ignoring such flings will be strategically correct, but now we feel that it is high time that NABARD should issue adequate rejoinders to the press and media so as to stem this rot in the public domain.
Had we known the full details regarding the issues raised by the print Media we would have adequately taken-up the issue with these newspapers/dailies by now.
We are sure that you will bestow your personal interest on this issue of utmost importance and NABARD’s Corporate and Media management departments will initiate necessary steps towards this end.
