No. NBOA.MUM/174/2011-12
09/04/ 2012
The Chairman
NABARD
Head Office
Mumbai
Dear Sir,
SHOW CAUSE NOTICES: APPEAL
Please refer to mass memorandum
submitted to your goodself by the entire membership of NBOA seeking withdrawal
of show-cause notices issued to many of our members for participating in the
Mass Casual Leave (MCL) on the call given by the NBOA.
In this connection, we would
very humbly like to bring to your kind notice the following aspects-
1. NBOA has resorted to MCL as the last resort only
when our requests/appeals and all other peaceful way of protests failed to cut
any ice with the Bank in settling our long outstanding issues.
2. That in spite of the call the NBOA has taken all
necessary steps to ensure that the work of the bank of very urgent nature and
that involving external parties is not hampered due to MCL.
3. That, NBOA has resorted to steps like MCL, striking
the work and march to parliament etc.etc. in the past too on the issues of wage
settlement and related aspects. And very humbly I would like to mention that
fruits borne out of such struggles of NBOA have benefited all of us, including
your goodself.
4. Never in the past such organisational moves of the
NBOA have been viewed as 'illegal' or 'immoral' as is being made out this time.
We, therefore, once again very
earnestly request you to withdraw the show-cause notices served on a section of
officers and also do not initiate any steps which can be attributed to as reprisal
of genuine organisational activities well within the Bye-laws of NBOA.
Thanking you
Yours sincerely,
--------sd-------
(Dr D. S. Chauhan)
General Secretary
