Dear secretary,
In order to discuss certain emergent issues arising out of banks steps to weaken and dismantle the NBOA and as per the requests received from many units, it has been decided to convene an emergent CEC meeting at Mumbai on 12/04 and 13/04/2012 to discuss the following issues and chalk out future course of action. The meeting shall commence at 11:00 AM on 12/04/2012 and shall continue till late hours on 13/04/2012. You may accordingly plan your travel. Be in touch with Sri Nitin Nerurkar, OS and Sri Amlan, CEC member for logistics etc.
1. Banks continued stance of not filling up the vacancies in various grades and recruiting officers in grade 'B'.
2. Transfer of president of NBOA and other office bearers of NBOA.
3. Non withdrawal of show-cause letters to grade 'A' officers.
4. LTC refund related issues
5. Repressive and unfriendly measures initiated by the bank against the NBOA
6. Reported abolition of EDs posts by GoI
7. Repositioning and restructuring exercise in the bank and BCG related issues.
8. Any other item with the permission of the chair.
PLEASE ENSURE YOUR ATTENDANCE AT THE CEC, IN CASE OF DIRE CIRCUMSTANCES ONLY YOU MAY DEPUTE SOME OTHER OFFICE-BEARER TO THE CEC. IN ANY CASE YOUR UNIT SHOULD NOT GO UNREPRESENTED AT THE CEC.
YOU ARE ALSO REQUESTED TO CONVENE A GENERAL BODY MEETING OF YOUR UNIT URGENTLY AND TAKE A REFERENDUM ON THE ISSUE OF CONTINUATION OF NBOA AND MEASURES REQUIRED TO BE INITIATED BY NBOA IN THE PRESENT SCENARIO SO AS TO SAFEGUARD ITS IDENTITY AND EXISTENCE. COME WITH A CLEAR MANDATE OF THE MEMBERSHIP ON THE ISSUE.
