Dear Unit Secretary,
It has come to our notice that some vested interests are spreading baseless rumors that if a probationary officer proceeds on Mass Casual leave then his/her probation shall get extended by 6 months.
NBOA has consulted and got confirmed from the authorities concerned that-
1. As per the extant rules of NABARD Staff Rules, 1982 the probation period of a Probationary Officer (inclusive of DR officers) can be extended only by the number of days on which he/she has been on EOL.

As such in the worst case if bank sanctions EOL instead of the CL on 28/02/2012 the probation period may get extended by only one day not 6 months as is being spread by some vested interests.
Members are therefore requested not to pay any heed to such baseless rumor mongering.
Needless to say that NBOA is committed to use all its resources to safeguard the interests of all of its members, including the officers on probation.
You are requested to widely circulate this communication among the officers specially those who are currently on probation-including the DR officers in grade 'A'.
