Dear Mohantyji
We had already forwarded the representation of all grade A in Ranchi for your information and record on 15 Dec 2011 itself. We repeat it once again.
RO has not taken any action on it till date since the same has not been routed thru NBOA. What has been the stand of AINBOA on this ? What has happened in other ROs ? All Grade As are demanding that the representation should be signed by all the officers and they should not be let down by the NBOA. Let us share our thoughts in the matter.
Dr Ranajee Mehta
President
1. where is the question of let down ? NBOA has already taken-up the issue with bank/chairman and also already written to board of directors. All the correspondence has been sent to all units. Did you not circulate it among the members?
2. regarding signing the memorandum by grade "A' officers, it is clarified once again and once for all that submission of memorandum by grade 'a' officers is not NBOA decision, or else it would have been on our letter-head and i would have issued a call. request for that. It all started because as many as two dozens of DR grade 'A" officers approached President in Mumbai and told that in addition to NBOA platform , they also want to represent individually to chairman...obviously NBOA cannot take away that right of an individual member, so President said that go ahead. Then the grade 'A' officers at Mumbai wanted that NBOA may 'facilitate' this step of theirs at all the centres. Hence central unit has requested all the units to simply facilitate the signature campaign at all the centres and probably we took a wrong decision to facilitate this step of our grade 'A' members...we are doing something extra and getting the flack for something which is not NBOA's stand or work. It also indicates that either we as office bearers are not able to explain the things to members or members have become too self-oriented and its fashionable to castigate the NBOA every time just for nothing.
3. Why RO is not forwarding the representation to Chairman? its not mandatory that it should be NBOA authorised representation for being forwarded to Chairman...each officer as an individual can send any representation to chairman , albeit through proper channel , and each OIC is bound to forward it. ask the grade 'A' officers to request the OIC on this issue and meanwhile fax a 'advance' copy to chairman's secretariat.
please circulate this among your membership , especially among grade 'A' officers and i hope no other clarification is required on this aspect. If officers want to send the representative on individual/collective basis , let them do it , if not then let them not. Its not a NBOA call. When NBOA shall decide to submit a memorandum signed by all on any/or all the issue it would be communicated and it would be on our letter-head.
i am enclosing this communication to all the units and putting it on blog too....
regards
dushyant
