NEW YEAR'S MESSAGE FROM GS

Dear Member,

GREETINGS FROM NBOA

On behalf of the President and all other Central unit Office-bearers I wish you and all your family members  a

'VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR 2012'

We pray to Almighty to bestow upon you and upon your near and dear ones all HIS/HER kindness and Bliss.

May the year 2012 bring happiness, peace and merry times to all of you.

The year 2011 was an eventful year both for NABARD and NBOA. We got our new pay scales and extended facilities and NABARD got a lot of recognition from GoI and other external players. We got a New Chairman-someone from our own cadre-and as a natural sequel all of us have pinned a lot of hopes on him to lead the organisation to greater heights. Whether this aspiration of ours is full-filled or not, that only time shall tell. But one thing is sure that all of us together can take and will take NABARD to places.

A point of concern is that spirit of   'NABARD Parivar' is getting diluted...may be in the process of 'TEAM NABARD' we have started forgetting the ethos and spirit of 'Parivar'. In modern management era 'TEAM' concept is an in thing and it definitely has its virtues in so far as fostering a competitive environment is concerned and where the Intelligence Quotient (IQ) is of prime importance, but the concept of 'Parivar'-a management tool- where the trait of Emotional Quotient (EQ) is given equal or even a little more recognition over the IQ has been a time tested concept and it still is and always be the flag runner in management science.

Friends, history is testimony to one and only one thing-No Battle or War has ever been won only on the parameter of IQ-those of the Army who fought with Emotions at stake,  passionate battles have emerged out winners...most of the times defeating even superior, intelligent and powerful adversaries. Why to go far behind - our own freedom struggle is a great example of what a 'Parivar' concept can do and achieve...

Let us thus resolve to strengthen and preserve our culture, spirit and ethos of 'NABARD PARIVAR' of 30 years and in the process also create a strong ‘TEAM NABARD’.

Like a family let us be full of empathy and be sensitive to needs and aspirations of our fellow NABARDIANS. Let us put our self interests a step behind and contribute in jointly making this beloved organisation of ours a vibrant, strong and an enjoyable place to work and live with. Let us resolve that we shall not get carried away by our short term gains and also let us resolve to have a belief in ourselves that 'TOGETHER WE CAN '.  Let us be magnanimous and large hearted in our dealings with our stakeholders-Farmers, Share-holders, External partners and with our own people i.e. NABARDIANS.

FOSTER UNITY, FOSTER FRATERNITY, PROMOTE EMPATHY AND PRESERVE NABARD PARIVAR....that’s all NBOA wishes and seeks from all of you and we are sure that 2012 will give this all to us and turn out to be a real ‘HAPPY YEAR’.

We also take this opportunity to resolve and reiterate our commitment to the cause of officers unity and assure all of you that with your support and backing NBOA shall leave no stone unturned in safe-guarding your interest and aspirations.

Individuals like me will come and go but keep the flag of NABARD and NBOA flying High and Mighty....

LONG LIVE NABARD

LONG LIVE NBOA

OUR UNITY IS OUR ONLY STRENGTH

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL OF YOU ONCE AGAIN

Fraternally Yours,

Dr. D.S.Chauhan

General Secretary
